Verizon Innovative Learning initiative, brings free technology, free access, and immersive hands-on learning opportunities to kids in under-resourced schools and communities, inspiring tomorrow’s creators to use technology to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and the world. That’s why Verizon, through its partnership with Digital Promise, equips every child and teacher with a device and a two-year data plan.
In addition to free technology and access, Verizon Innovative Learning schools (VILs) also receive extensive teacher training and support to leverage technology in their classrooms. Through Verizon Innovative Learning, students and teachers are taught to use powerful tools innovatively, and teachers receive comprehensive, ongoing professional development on how to effectively leverage mobile technology to improve learning.
